Industry intelligence from the companies that know the conveyor market best.
CEMA’s Statistics Programs transform member-contributed information into market and workforce intelligence that supports forecasting, budgeting, staffing and strategic planning. Two complementary programs help members understand both what the market is doing and what industry companies are experiencing.
1. Monthly Conveyor Statistics
Participating members report actual booked and billed sales through a secure reporting system using consistent category definitions. CEMA aggregates this information into reports designed to help members evaluate market direction and their own position within participating product categories.
Reporting covers areas including screw conveyors, bulk and unit handling conveyors and components, engineered systems, conveyor chains, belts, bearings, accessories, and related field services. Some categories have additional breakouts.
Participation Benefits
Rather than charging an additional fee for this monthly market intelligence, CEMA offers qualifying participating companies a 25% discount on annual membership dues, subject to program requirements.
2. Business & Labor Trends
Twice each year, in conjunction with CEMA’s Annual and Fall Meetings, members are invited to contribute to a confidential survey of industry conditions. Participation is available even to companies that cannot attend the meeting, and members may complete the sections appropriate for their company.
Business Trends examines sales, profitability, backlogs, inquiry activity, lead times, and expectations for future orders in the Bulk and Unit Handling sectors.
Labor Trends examines workforce issues such as recruiting skilled employees, compensation and benefits, shifts, health insurance and related employment practices. Optional Remote Work questions provide additional perspective on workplace policies.
Members receive aggregated results for the survey sections they complete, helping them benchmark conditions and inform management discussions.
Why Participate in the CEMA Statistics Program?
Better data starts with participation and helps both your company and the broader CEMA membership.
Participating members receive reports based on the survey sections they complete. These reports provide a snapshot of what other CEMA member companies are experiencing and offer industry-specific benchmarks that can be difficult to find elsewhere.
Reports are provided as downloadable PDFs and can be used to:
- Compare your experiences with broader business and labor trends across CEMA member companies.
- Gain perspective on workforce, recruiting, retention, and work practices.
- Bring valuable industry data into management and strategic planning conversations.
- Help CEMA develop a more complete picture of current conditions within the conveyor industry.
Each company’s contribution helps build a clearer picture of the industry while giving participants practical information to support better decisions.
