Monthly Statistics Report News Release

NAPLES, FL. -- The Conveyor Equipment Manufacturers Association reported that its February 2010 Booked Orders Index was 114. Index in February is up 15 points or 15% from January 2010's Index of 99 (1990=100). The February 2010 Index represents an increase of 15% from the February 2009 Index of 99.

February Booked Orders Indexes were 200 for Bulk Handling Equipment* and 84 for Unit Handling Equipment*(1990=100).

The Twelve-Month Index for Booked Orders was 108 in February. Index in February represents an increase of 1% from January 2010's Twelve-Month Index of 107.

The CEMA Billed Sales (shipments) Index was 112 in February. Index in February is up 18 points or 19% from January 2010's Index of 94. The February 2010 Index represents a decrease of 8% from the February 2009 Index of 122.

February Billed Sales Indexes were 186 for Bulk Handling Equipment* and 95 for Unit Handling Equipment*(1990=100).

The Twelve-Month Index for Billed Sales was 111 in February. Index in February represents no change from January 2010's Twelve-Month Index of 111.


* Since Bulk Handling Systems booked and billed sales are reported quarterly, they are averaged back to the two preceding months to enable a running monthly index.
