CEMA Welcomes them to the Association as new members effective April 25, 2014!
R.A.S. Industries Ltd. finds its roots in a small machine shop where Eric Sutton and Stanley Ross began business repairing equipment in 1952. By the 1970’s the company now included Alan & Robert Sutton and the first conveyor pulleys were manufactured by the company. As the next generation took over so too did the business change as the company began focusing more of its effort on conveyor pulleys. Then in 1982 the decision was made by Alan & Robert to focus entirely on conveyor pulleys.
With its new focus, RAS established itself firmly as a quality manufacturer of conveyor pulleys. Inventories of key components were developed to enable excellent response for maintenance concerns in sawmills, port facilities and then into the local mines. The strategy of this business plan was to have preprocessed components, machinery and skilled labour readily available to be able to respond to any emergency.
