Welcome to CEMA’s Joint Screw Conveyor / Bucket Elevator Section!  This meeting will start promptly at 7:00 am to 8:30 am.  The purpose of this committee is to provide the most current up to date information for the industry through standards, technical reports, best practices, and address any current industry needs.

    d) Bucket Elevator IOM – Updates
    e) Bucket Elevator Book, Proposed New Chapters for 2nd Edition (Troubleshooting and Drive Arrangement)
    f) White Paper OSHA 1910 – Ladder Fall Protection.  Paper was withdrawn, per our legal advice.  However, a new paper can be written on the subject but cannot mirror Drew Beadles (Universal Industries) paper.  UPDATE:  A new paper has been submitted to section at the EC 2021 Virtual Meeting.  Legal counsel is reviewing.
    g) Bucket Elevator Explosive or Flammable Material and additional topics. – Updates
    h) ANSI/CEMA Standard No. 300 – Upddate tables to reflect 3-15/16″ diamter, 4 7/16″ diameter, 4-15/16″ diameter shaft components and 30″ diameter and 36″ diameter screw components.
    i) Drag Conveyor “Best Practices” Book (like bucket elevator project) – Volunteers needed
    j) Shoots and Transfer Transitions Best Practices and Design – Volunteers needed
    k) CEMA DVD’s Go Digital! – Approval of Screw Conveyor, Drag Conveyor, Bucket Elevator Safety DVD conversion. DVD’s will be converted to digital format. Costs to CEMA will be approximately: $450 per title for all bulk handling DVD’s, plus additional costs for any other changes within that DVD.
