CEMA Members & Representatives
This is a reminder for registration for CEMA’s 89th Annual Meeting, which will be held March 18 – 22, 2022, at Rancho Bernardo Inn, San Diego, California.
Attending the Annual Meeting will qualify your company for the 25% Meeting discount off of the membership dues.
Be sure to register by February 4, 2022, to take advantage of the Early Bird Registration Fee and save $100! Additional company representatives can save another $50. The deadline for hotel reservations is February 18, 2022.
Registration Fees are as follows: Early Bird 1st Company Representative – $1,050, Additional Representative – $1,000. After February 4th, Regular Registration 1st Company Representative – $1,150, Additional Representative – $1,100. Spouse/Guest – $550. Children under age 12 – $400. Attention Chain and Sprocket Section Members: The Chain and Sprocket Section meeting will be held Virtually on March 3rd. The invitation email will be sent out on February 16th.
We are happy to announce the addition of 2 new items to the schedule. On Saturday, March 19th, there will be a Happy Hour for our Young Professionals (age 40 years old and under) to network and build relationships. On Monday, March 21st, we will have the first organizational meeting of the new Conveyor Systems Integrators membership category.
CEMA will make your hotel reservation. Please note that should you need to cancel your hotel reservation, a minimum of 72 hours prior to your arrival date is required to avoid a one night room charge!
For those who would like to play a round of Golf on Sunday and/or participate in the 5K Fun Walk/Run, the 5K Walk/Run is at an early time to accommodate participation in both functions. Please sign up for these events on the registration form.
This year for Spouses and/or Guests of attendees, there will be a Highland Valley Winery Excursion on Saturday, March 19th. All registered spouses/guests are invited to participate. Transportation is provided. Please sign-up on the registration form if your spouse/guest would like to attend this activity. Click on the tab for more information on this activity.

On Friday evening, join us as we socialize and network after dinner. Saturday morning, CEMA’s Keynote speaker will be Alex Chausovsky, Director of Analytics and Consulting, Miller Resource Group. Many members will remember Alex from his work at ITR Economics. His topic is “Building an Effective Talent Strategy”, Proven Tactics to Attract, Hire and Retain Your Most Valuable Asset. Saturday evening will be a game filled evening! Monday evening, join us for dancing and entertainment with DJ Ruben and his karaoke machine!

CEMA Summary Of Meetings
Meetings Committee
Chair: Jerry Heathman, Precision Pulley & Idler Co. (PPI)
-Purpose: Provide a mix of business and social events to maximize networking opportunities at CEMA meetings.
-Value: Create a program to enhance the meeting experience by providing increased value to all attendees. Review prior programs and adjust program content as needed.
Government Affairs Committee
Chair: Tamara Thimmel, Bryant Products Inc.
-Purpose: Provide you with Legislature and Bill activity that affect our industry and provide CEMA (our members) a voice within the government about our concerns.
-Value: Having active involvement in the Bills that are being presented to Legislature.
Membership/Marketing Committee
CO-Chairs: Paul Dent, Osborn; Jimmy Swiger, Martin Sprocket & Gear, Inc.
-Purpose: Membership – Bring relevant conveyor equipment manufacturers and technical companies into the CEMA organization.
Marketing – Create interest and intrigue of potential new members. Drive Sales and distribution of CEMA Publications and Standards to the conveyor market.
-Value: Learn about who our industry consists of and contribute to the integrity and growth of the overall CEMA organization.
General Business Session
-President’s Welcome and Introductions, Keynote Address – Alex Chausovsky with the Miller Resource Group, Approval of Minutes, Nominating Committee Report, Election of Directors, Financial Report and Statistics Committee Report.
Conveyor Chain and Sprocket Section
Acting-Chair: Jeremy Fogo, PEER Chain; Vice-Chair: Dan Fannin, Regal Rexnord Corporation
-Purpose: Provide the most current chain information available within the industry and represent all types of conveyor chain, i.e. drag, engineered, plastic, wire belt, etc.
-Value: Develop a standardized and effective ability to identify chain products and chain condition that best fit the needs of member organizations and end user application requirements; Chain Products, Application Matrix or Hierarchy, Chain Safety, Loads, Installation, Maintenance, and Wear Best Practices.
Joint Screw Conveyor/Bucket Elevator Section
Chair: Andy Blanchard, Syntron Material Handling, LLC; Vice-Chair: Johnny Wheat, 4B Components, Ltd.
-Purpose: Provide the most current up to date information for the industry through standards, technical reports, best practices, and address any current industry needs.
-Value: Be involved in a section that is working on industry standards (i.e. 300, 350, etc.), technical reports, best practices, and bringing value to the screw/bucket elevator conveyor industry through engineering efforts.
General Bulk Handling Section
Chair: Robert Welker, Argonics, Inc.; Vice Chair: VACANT
-Purpose: Provide the most current ‘Business and Labor Trends’ in the conveyor industry and to provide direction to other CEMA sections.
-Value: Be involved in a committee that is reviewing current industry trends and providing direction to other working sections.
Unit Handling Conveying Section
Chair: Derrick Shelton, Ralphs-Pugh Co., Inc., Vice-Chair: Rick Kosik Sr., Itoh Denki USA, Inc.
-Purpose: Provide the most current discussion on the ‘Business and Labor Trends’, and additional industry related topics for this portion of the industry.
-Value: Development of standards & technical reports addressing topics that are affecting this portion of the industry.
