All
Members of the conveyor engineering industry as hereinafter defined who have been
engaged within the United States Canada and Mexico and their possessions in the
conveyor engineering business for at least one (1) year, shall be eligible for
technical membership in the Corporation. For the purpose hereof an engineering
company shall be deemed to be a member of the conveyor engineering industry if
its principal business or the principal business of one of its divisions is either:
a.
Designing or specifying unit or bulk material conveying equipment or systems.
- OR -
b. Designing
and/or specifying unit or bulk belt conveyor components for which CEMA maintains
reporting statistics. - OR -
c)
Designing or specifying those component parts which by reason of their unique
nature are primarily capable of usage as component parts of unit conveying equipment
or systems. - OR -
d)
Designing and/orspecifyingpneumatic conveyors, automated monorails, automatic
guided vehicles, conveyor controls, or any combinations of same, including both
equipment and systems. - OR -
e)
Integration of conveyor components into systems or project management of conveyor
systems construction.
Section 2. Nothing in Section 1 shall be construed to change the status of any
member of the Corporation in good standing on the date of the approval of these
Bylaws. No applicant whose business is principally engineering can apply for membership
as a manufacturing member. No applicant whose business is principally manufacturing
can apply for membership as a technical member.

5% of the Annual Dues will be rebated if the member attends the Engineering Conference
or any other CEMA Meeting. |
